We help your child explore their strengths and succeed at whatever they want to achieve.

We work with children and teenagers up to the age of 18. With an expert understanding of child development and paediatric conditions, analysing why a child may be struggling to carry out specific tasks and work to develop a plan to address the specific issues.

  • Handwriting Groups (letter formation, spacing, pencil grip, body control, sentence structure, story writing) â€‹

  • Girls Club (self-cares, life skills, social skills and building healthy relationships and lifestyles)

  • School Readiness Groups (prepare your child for school! Including social skills, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills, pretend bell times and snack times. A great way to improve skills and confidence to start of school).

FREE 45 MIN CONSULTATION

The assessment process is simple. It starts with filling out multiple forms to give us as much background information as possible. We also ask that you provide any reports you have. The more background information we have the better we can tailor our assessment specifically for your child.

Following this we schedule a formal assessment. We use a range of standardised and observational assessments.

Following the assessment, we meet with you to determine therapy goals. It is important that everyone is working on the same goals with the child and for this reason we provide information to kinder/school, other therapists and paediatricians. Sometimes, it may take two sessions to obtain an accurate picture of your child’s development, for example, we may also need to see them at school.

The Assessment includes a comprehensive report. We feel that this is important so you know exactly where your child is at and how we are going to help them move forward.

After that, we start therapy sessions. It’s great if parents/carers can attend because then we can teach you the skills you need to help your child at home.

We assess your childs:

  • Gross motor skills and coordination

  • Reflexes (are any of your child's primitive reflexes retained and how could these be limiting your childs development)

  • Fine motor skills  (handwriting, finger manipulation, drawing, cutting, bilateral integration)

  • Visual processing skills (can they understand and interpret what they see?)

  • Auditory processing (are they processing sound effectively or missing information?)

  • Sensory processing (can they cope with all the information they receive?)

  • Play skills

  • Social skills

  • ADL skills (getting dressed, feeding, bathing, self-care)

  • Life skills (budgeting, cooking, healthy lifestyle and relationships)
